i have written everything correctly, and i know i'm right. the reason i've been blocked is invalid, the reason my files were deleted is invalid, i'm appalled that i'm even writing this.

hey! so, if you're not aware of what happened, then i'll tell you everything. but if you ARE aware, skip to header, "NAIL IN THE COFFIN."

it started a few months ago, could not find the starting date, but around August 20, 2025.

now, i was going through a complex moral debate in my head at the time [one that i have now solved] and because of it, i decided that i want my very own, customized flag just for me! sounds cool right? i certainly thought so. so, i decided to upload a flag to wikipedia, [because i was unaware of wikimedia at the time] called the "TVIE pride flag." of course, i got blocked on wikipedia, so i realized that here on wikimedia is the correct place for that type of thing. [1]

 The TVIE pride flag is a modified version of the Zoomap pride flag. This flag represents people who are outraged that their attractions to people and animals give them a harder life. A difference between this flag, and the Zoomap flag, is that people who use this flag MUST be good people at heart. Generally, people who manipulate, lie to (ex: saying you're 15 when you're actually 27), or try to take advantage of minors, do not fall under this category. And people who engage in beastiality, with animals who do not have control over the situation, do not fall under this category. here's the thing though, even though this was posted for my own use, i also made sure to make it informative, so that other people could use it as well. that being said, it was deleted. why? i can't give you an exact answer.. [i didn't bother trying to appeal it] but i have a decent idea of what happened, that i'll explain at the end.

September 10. a little while later, i was thinking to myself.

"Why would i want to wear such a suggestive flag on my arm? why not just make a more vague-rebellious-ish one?"

and that's what i did. i made two new flags under the "rebellious" pretense. called the "Break culture" flag and "DESTROY culture" flag respectively. the reason i made two, is because the DESTROY culture flag looked a little too much like the nazi flag. [given, that was the inspiration so what did i expect] and that's where the "break culture" flag came from.

in the descriptions of these flags, i wrote quotes to help people decide which flag they resonate with the most, "break culture" being nice, while "destroy culture" was more aggressive. the name of these flags might imply that human culture is bad, but it specifically refers to the fact that SOME cultures [eg: cancel culture] aren't exactly a good thing, and that we should break free from them to progress as a society.

 a more aggressive form of the break culture flag. "For far too long have we been blinded, blinded by our own morals.. our goals.. our ambitions.. our conflict avoidance.. we need to destroy this, all of it. we will not allow people who are wrong, safe passage through this world. they will be ridiculed, bullied, and abominated. time and time again has humanity proven to be emotionally thinking.. but this is wrong. now i ask you, are you willing to abandon it all? are you willing to destroy cultural norms and think only with logic in mind? can you truly say to yourself: "i might be wrong.." and accept defeat? if not, then consider yourself an enemy of the future." design: at the base of the flag is three red stripes, symbolizing strength, and rage. on top is the tetragram of resistance. painted in black, symbolizing Invictus and mercilessness. and in front, a white arrow. showing dominance, and an irrefutable desire for perfection.

NOW, something i will admit is that the "break culture" flags ARE vague in the description, however they still do NOT break any site rules, are not personal, and are completely in scope, under the basis of education: to be understood according to its broad meaning of "providing knowledge; instructional or informative" [2]

it would be improper to argue that deletion was the best option, rather, what SHOULD HAVE happened, is that under COM:AGF, i should have received a message telling me to fix the description. a message, that i did not receive. "Good faith corrective action includes informing editors of problems and helping them improve their practices." [3]

and now for the unqualified administrator part. here is the appeal log for these two flags, and as you can see, the administrator who deleted them not only ignored my argument, but stopped responding to my rebuttals, AND their only response was a red herring, pointing at the fact that i used the word "photo" instead of "media" or "file." it's quite long, so i'll put "ANOTHER HEADER" at the end of it [for clarity]

hello squirrel, i was just about to close this tab when i realize.. wait.. where are my files? i do as anyone would, and check out what kind of mistake i made when uploading them, only to find out that i had not made any mistakes, and that the reason you deleted them is invalid.

the deletion log reads:

the direct citation reads as follows:

"F10. Personal files by non-contributors Low-to-medium quality selfies and other personal files (including AI generated images) of or by users who have no constructive global contributions.[2]"

the photos in question were flags, representing beliefs that do not currently have an existing flag. these were NOT personal photos, because a flag is free-use and in the public domain. they were not low quality, the dimensions were 1600 x 1000. they were not AI-generated, i made them myself. and it's very clearly not a selfie. i had intended for others to use them, and although they were unpopular, that does not automatically mean that they are "personal."

also, it says "by non-contributors," this implies that, by contributing to the database, i'm not a contributor. it is completely, and logically flawed to say this is a true statement, based on the actual, current definition of "contributor." i will be requesting the restoration of not only this file, but the other flag i posted, with the deletion log here:

are.. you serious? did you even read it or are you just skimming? i mean i understand that you might be a busy person but you need to actually read it. you have just responded to my case with: "The criteria for speedy deletion doesn't specify it has to be photos. Please see COM:SCOPE." however, this is irrelevant information, because the files i provided are following the COM:SCOPE guidelines, even if they aren't photos. i merely used the word "photos" because that was the reason given in the deletion log. if you are referring to the description of the files, then it still follows guidelines because the quoted text underlines the very essence of purpose, and intended usage of the flags. unless you can give me a direct citation to what rule/regulation i failed to follow, then i need these files restored. i'd be more than happy to clarify the description if that's what you need from me, but i need them restored first Thecameraman arras (talk) 07:19, 6 October 2025 (UTC)

well, the files are educational for two reasons. 1. they are a new piece of information, not posted anywhere else. 2. under this website's direct definition of education: to be understood according to its broad meaning of "providing knowledge; instructional or informative" the description of both "break culture" flags, is based on a quote that describes the idea, the words, that led to their creation. along with a brief descriptor of the geometry of the flags. the intention is to give the reader a more personal way to relate to either flag, so they can decide which words they resonate with the most. i can see you're still active, and that you've had more than enough time to respond, but didn't. i take it this means you just don't care enough to spend your time debating with me, so i will be re-uploading the files, tomorrow, with a more detailed, in-depth description. to make sure this doesn't happen again. and another thing, i don't really care too much about the TVIE flag, but that one isn't even debatable about whether or not it's "educational," it is. you've shown your bias.. and with this hand i have been blessed, i bid you farewell. ANOTHER HEADER

so as you can see, my rebuttals were not only valid, but well reasoned and structured. but despite this, the administrator was nowhere to be seen, not nearly as helpful as the talk page stalker. which, by itself shows how unqualified this administrator was to make this decision. but there's more..

October 17. had another thought.

"well, maybe the break culture flags weren't informative enough, and the TVIE flag was a little too on the nose.."

and i decided that i would upload a final flag, essentially a summary of the break culture flags, while still accomplishing what the TVIE flag couldn't. it was INFORMATIVE, USEFUL, AND IN-SCOPE. but this administrator STILL didn't think so! don't believe me? read this.

The Valedictory Flag serves as a "farewell" to any non-beneficial tradition, behavior, or culture: small talk, arguing to win, road rage, conformity, etc. people wear this flag to differentiate themselves from others, connect with like-minded individuals, or in protests. design: at the back of this flag is a dark purple base, with a purple cross on top. in the middle is a yellow hexagram of revolution, and at the front is a faded green circular arrow.

it's fairly obvious what this file is trying to accomplish, it's clearly a rebellious flag designed to be used casually, or actively. [in protests or such] and the reason i posted this, is not only so that people can know what it is when they see me wearing it, but what if it's on a car? or a house? it's unreasonable to expect them to just know what it's for, and that's why i posted it on a wiki! [ah, yes. i'm so smart :D] so, knowing that i'm fully and entirely correct about this, i made sure to spend as much time proofreading my appeal as possible, ensuring no cracks, and that my file would be restored. in fact, i was so confident, that i closed the talk page tab! the next day i just hit refresh on the original file page, expecting it to show up.. but i didn't see the flag.. you know what i saw? nothing.

i navigated back to the talk page to look at what he had to say.. but where's my topic at? it's been deleted..? no that can't be right, i think to myself. go over to previous page versions and so enough, it's not only been deleted, but i've been blocked, GLOBALLY.

here's the appeal i put on the admin's talk page. keep in mind that i was a little upset, considering that my files not only were deleted improperly, but by the SAME PERSON?! pay close attention to the argument i made.

REASONS WHY THIS FILE SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN DELETED.

1. as-per this website's definition of contributor, by uploading a file/photo with the intent of educating others, i am a contributor.
2. the media is educational, under this website's direct definition: to be understood according to its broad meaning of "providing knowledge; instructional or informative"
3. the media follows copyright, being that it was posted under the Creative Commons CC0 1.0 Universal Public Domain Dedication. AND that it has been posted nowhere else before.
4. the media is useful, being that i use it, and can think of a number of people not only that i know, but a number of people outside of my personal life who would love this flag.
5. under COM:COWN i am following all of the guidelines posted. with a relevant wikipedia article here (being that the people could realistically use the Valedictory Flag for a similar purpose, but also as an original work on top of that.)
6. this media does not meet ANY criteria for COM:GCSD
7. this media ALSO does not meet ANY criteria for COM:CV
8. COM:NOTUSED "The emphasis here is on realistic utility, either for one of the Wikimedia projects or for some other educational use." The other educational use mentioned, being that without this wikimedia page, i'll have to explain what this flag is EVERY TIME someone asks about it, and that goes for anyone else who uses it too. every flag in-use NEEDS a wiki page to describe it, because that is what the wiki was made for. and in the event that someone sees this flag from a distance, say on a car, it should be reasonable that they can take a picture of it, and use google to navigate to the wikimedia page.
9. the content is educational, but it is NOT the type mentioned in COM:EEC
10. COM:DW not a derivative work from anything, this is an original rendition.
11. everything i've done is in good faith, and your behavior is invalid as listed here: COM:AGF "Good faith corrective action includes informing editors of problems and helping them improve their practices." and when i have received no alerts or warnings, just straight deletion.
12. and doesn't it just look cool? honestly, i really have no idea what your argument could possibly be against this.

that being said, i'm not too angry, it's just annoying that i have to take time out of my day to dispute these things. so for the love of ICE CREAM, undelete this. thsnks.

if you thought THAT was bad, then you haven't seen the worst part yet.. everything else could be chocked up to "negligence" or maybe they were busy, and just didn't have the time to read it thoroughly. but here is PROOF that this administrator, did NOT read my post, deceived a regular wiki user, AND another administrator on top of that.

I deleted all of their uploads CSD F10 (they're all made-up flags accompanied by personal essays in the file pages). IMO, it's clear that they're NOTHERE, and they've already been blocked as such on EnWiki, but since each time I deleted their files, they left a wall of text on my user talk page, I figure I'm too involved to block them. AND it's not a personal essay, it's a legitimate description of the instructive, intended usage. it's a descriptor of the file's geometry, AND it's informative as to enlighten people of what they didn't already know. [something called learning]

this is very clearly NOT an attack against my argument, but rather "i'm not reading allat" in different words. there is no feasible way that any sane human can read this, and not see a problem with the administrator in question.

and about the tvie pride flag, it is very clear that it was JUST as useful, and in-scope as the valedictory flag. HARD PROOF that this administrator is biased.

but after all this ash and dust settles, i only really want one thing. i don't care about being unblocked, i don't care about uploading more files, i came here to do one thing, and it is the Valedictory Flag. if this file is restored, then nobody will have any problems. i mean really, do you think someone's going to fire you if you accidentally overlook a file? [not saying my file is bad.]

I'm not an admin but I feel like you have not understood the issue and that things might have been explained to you in a way that might be hard to understand for someone who is new to Wikipedia/Wiki Commons, so I'll give it a shot to explain it from a bit of a different angle.

The reason for deletion was that those flags are personal files. And I agree with that rationale. The following aspects make your flags "personal files" according to Commons' definition of personal files.

1. Statements you've made where you yourself acknowledge the "personal" nature of the flags:
   • posted for my own use
   • my very own, customized flag
2. Since COM:SCOPE did not make it clear, let's try it with WP:NOTABILITY instead. At the top of the WP:NOTABILITY article, you'll find two important statements to distinguish between "personal" stuff, which does not belong on Wikipedia, and "encyclopedic" stuff, which does belong on Wikipedia.
   1. Wikipedia articles cover notable topics—those that have gained sufficiently significant attention by the world at large and over a period of time (emphasis added by me). This statement tells us that things are only in scope for this project, if they already have received attention by third parties. Meaning that Lady Gaga is in SCOPE, because you know Lady Gaga, I know Lady Gaga, the media outlets know Lady Gaga, and everyone else also already knows Lady Gaga. That's why she's in scope of an encyclopedia. But my garage band is not known by anyone, and therefore my garage band does not belong here. My garage band is "personal", not "encyclopedic". Now ask yourself: are the flags that you have uploaded "Lady Gaga-flags" or are they "garage band-flags"? I think the answer to this question demonstrates clearly that your flags are "personal" and thus outside of Commons scope. In case it's still not clear that they are personal, there's this other statement on WP:NOTABILITY :
   2. We consider evidence from reliable and independent sources to gauge this attention. So, according to this definition of Wikipedia's scope, can you please provide some newspaper articles that talk about your flags? If not, then can you tell us any book that deals with your flags? If not, then can you at least name a (large or at least medium-sized) community that has endorsed your flag and is using it as their official symbol? Is there a famous YouTuber / TikToker / Influencer etc. who frequently uses your flag? Is there a pride movement that has used your flag during their pride parade(s)? Is there some wider acceptance of your flag anywhere or by anyone? No? Well then it's a "personal" flag, not an "encyclopedic" flag, because your flag is lacking outside-reception (just like my garage band). And Wikipedia and Commons are not for making things famous (WP:PROMOTION, WP:NOTPROMO, WP:NOTADVOCACY), no, they are for things that are already famous. And no message telling [you] to fix the description will change the fact that your flags are "personal" files that are outside of project scope. The only thing that could change that fact would be that your flags become famous one day (like Lady Gaga). Then we could host them here. Otherwise refer to WP:NOTWEBHOST.
3. ALL flags are made up to begin with, so this by default is a non-argument. Yes, and all musicians are musicians. But there's still a difference between Lady Gaga and my garage band, and that difference is what matters on Wikipedia and Commons. A flag that is used as an official state symbol obviously appears in newspapers, books, is used by famous YouTubers (when they celebrate their national association football team during a championship), and by lots of communities for various reasons. But that's not the case for your flags. Your flags are works of "personal" art. Which is fine. There are outlets for "personal" flags, too, like social media or some Fandom wiki (or maybe even a local art exhibition?). But Wikipedia and Commons are not the right place for them.
4. i am a contributor. In the most narrow understanding of the word "contributor" that assertion is true. But in the same way, my garage band are also "musicians". You know what I mean...? Of course we don't have to be on Lady Gaga's level to be considered "contributors", but we should at least have some "stage experience" outside our garage before we can really call ourselves "musicians", and also for others to perceive us as "musicians". To give you an idea of where the line is drawn to justify uploads per {{User page image}}, in my experience around Commons:Deletion requests, a "personal" file might be retained if the "contributor" has at least around 200–500 non-personal contributions across projects. But that's like the low end of the bar where there's still no guarantee that a "personal" file will be kept, it's just the bare minimum for people to even consider to not delete a "personal" file.

i'm going to be honest, that was a really informative and well structured argument against mine, and i think you ATE THAT!! but seriously, thanks for clearing that up. i guess the only logical step is to become famous, huh. i'll probably submit another block appeal, but maybe years into the future if i can make this flag a real thing. that being said, i think that you are WAY more qualified to be an admin than that squirrel guy, and i STILL think that being blocked because i submitted an appeal is ridiculous. this website won't see my name for a while, but i will return, someday.. *ominously fades from existence, with a puff of blue glitter* Thecameraman arras (talk) 22:39, 5 November 2025 (UTC)
